Roses - why wait for valentines day!!

I never used to like roses, but they have literally begun to grow on me.  I have been lucky enough to get a couple of bunches from Aldi over the last couple of weeks.

My images don't do them justice, these are a very pale lilac colour and have a parchment coloured tip.  There are two weeks old and a lovely now they are on the wain.

I got these with my shop this week, they are a pale cream with a peachy centre and they are just divine.

It is wonderful how a bunch of flowers can make a real difference to my mood.  I like these as they have real staying power.

I love spring flowers, daffodils and tulips, but they are a little pricey at the moment and also don't last very well.

I hope you all have a great weekend, I am off to pack my mums case for her holiday and then it will be baking and cooking time for the family mad!

I love roses too. Yellow ones are my favourite. I love to photograph them, and even photographed one when it was really crispy and dried up, well past it's best before date. They're on my website if you want to take a look. It's not a spam link, honest. http://www.ammphotography.com/apps/photos/album?a... (I'm Annie from Incessant Ramblings, and read your blog often) Silly really, but having flowers in my house makes such a difference to my mood. Enjoy your roses! but bring on the cheaper daffies.
I love the scented roses! Love spring flowers too, and can't wait until they are cheaper, as I really like the way daffodils make me feel so bright and bring a corner in the house to life. I hope your Mum is doing ok, I tryesd to comment to another post but couldn't for some reason. suzie xxx
Your images certainly do them justice, they are beautiful photographs. Roses are my favourite flower, especially when growing in the garden rather than placed in a vase.

Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll dm you those measurements if you're absolutely sure.

Best wishes, CJ xx
Flowers are so nice in the house. I haven't indulged yet this winter, but I'm ready to think about spring so maybe I'll get some this week. Wishing you a great week!
these are stunning & your photos lovely. I like a good old fashioned Tea rose.

I used to get red roses every Valentine's day & Roddy grumbling about the expence so I told him I'd rather have lillies ! Anyway what has he to grumble about as that day is also my birthday so one bunch does for TWO occassions !!!

I still have my wedding bouquet - just a simple bunch of cream roses - it's all brown & papery now .
I like roses, your pictures remind me of my wedding bouquet. I love flowers at home too, they brighten up a room my favourites are Gerbera's.
We have a lilac one in our front garden, it is a bit twiggy but the blooms smell like sherbert, which is divine.
